Algeria’s Commission for the Classification of Terrorist Persons and Entities, under the Ministry of Interior, designates individuals and organizations for inclusion on the national terrorist list pursuant to Article 87 bis 13 of the Penal Code. Designations are published in the Official Gazette. Listed parties are subject to targeted financial sanctions, including the freezing or seizure of funds and other assets, enforced by financial institutions and competent domestic authorities.
