Australia implements UNSC sanctions regimes and Australian autonomous sanctions regimes under Australian sanction laws through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). These lists are all persons and entities who are subject to targeted financial sanctions or travel bans under Australian sanctions laws.
Australian autonomous sanctions regimes are primarily implemented under the Autonomous Sanctions Act 2011 (the Autonomous Act) and the Australian Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011. DFAT administers the United Nations Act, the Autonomous Act and their regulations.
