Arbiter for LexisNexis® Bridger Insight® XG
What’s new
Arbiter is now available directly inside LexisNexis® Bridger Insight® XG through an integration with LexisNexis® Risk Solutions. Alerts generated in Bridger can be adjudicated by Arbiter agents in real time. Analysts receive the disposition, rationale and audit trail within Bridger, without moving to a separate interface.
The integration supports sanctions, PEP, adverse media and other risk-data alerts. Arbiter is configured to each institution’s risk thresholds, internal policies and analyst procedures.
How to access: Deployment does not require data migration, heavy engineering lift or changes to existing Bridger workflows. Connect with our team to see it in action.
Flexible Rationale Formats for Arbiter Dispositions
What’s new
Arbiter now offers a concise rationale format alongside the default regulatory format. Institutions can tailor rationale output to their review and documentation requirements. The new concise format puts the disposition first and shows only the information that affected it, making alert decisions faster to review.
For example:
-
Regulatory rationale:
- "False Positive: Input REFC TDG MANAGEMENT has been cleared as a False Positive against Alert TECHNOLOGY AND DEVELOPMENT GROUP LTD, decisioned on 07 Aug 26 15:48 UTC.
- Name: The input name is REFC TDG MANAGEMENT. The alert name is TECHNOLOGY AND DEVELOPMENT GROUP LTD. The names are correlated (matched on alias: T.D.G.).
- Entity type: The screened entity and alert are both companies.
- Determination: The name similarity is insufficient to warrant further review. This entity is cleared. No further review is required."
- Concise Rationale: “False Positive: REFC TDG MANAGEMENT correlates to alias T.D.G. of TECHNOLOGY AND DEVELOPMENT GROUP LTD; name similarity is insufficient to warrant review.“
What this means
- Analysts and auditors can review shorter, more focused rationales
- Institutions can tailor the format to their documentation requirements
- The selected format changes how the rationale is presented, not how the disposition is made
Expanded PEP coverage and context
What’s new
We have expanded PEP coverage to identify officials based on the public office they hold or have held, not just the occupation listed in source data. This includes cases where a finance minister is listed as a businessperson or an attorney general as a lawyer. The update helps teams identify relevant PEPs whose political exposure may not be clear from their professional title alone.
The release includes:
- Office-based identification: Current and former public offices are considered when determining PEP status
- Life-status information: Records include an Alive or Deceased status and date of death where available
- Historical cutoff: Individuals who died before 2000 are excluded by default. The cutoff can be configured by institution
- Native-script names: Cyrillic, Arabic, Chinese and Korean name variants are searchable alongside English variants
- Non-English coverage: Position and description information is available across a greater share of non-English records
- Relatives and close associates: Coverage extends to a broader set of RCAs under the same inclusion standards
What this means
- Broader coverage across public roles, geographies and languages
- Less reliance on any single field, such as occupation or date of birth
- More context for analysts assessing international and historical matches
- Greater control over historical PEP records included in screening
How to access: These updates are live and apply automatically to PEP screening in the platform and through the API. To adjust the historical cutoff for your institution, contact your Customer Success Manager.
